Savoia S.21 SwAF iModeler
The Savoia S.21 is a fictional seaplane fighter that appears in the anime film Porco Rosso, directed by Hayao Miyazaki. In the film, there are two versions of the S.21. The initial version was powered by an Isotta-Fraschini Asso liquid-cooled V-12; the later version mounted a Fiat A.S.2 "Folgore" V-12, with a modified radiator configuration.

The Savoia S-21 is a fictional seaplane featured in the Japanese anime film "Porco Rosso" (The Crimson Pig), about an Italian fighter pilot who makes a living fighting air pirates in the late 1920's. He lives under a curse, having been turned into a pig after abandoning his squadron mates during a WWI dogfight.

The S.21 was a single-seat biplane flying boat with its upper wing being of shorter span that its lower wing. Its 224 kW (300 hp) Ansaldo San Giorgio 4E-14 [1] engine was mounted on struts above its hull and below its upper wing and drove a four-bladed pusher propeller. Small stabilizer floats were mounted beneath the lower wing on each side.

The SIAI S.21 was an Italian racing flying boat built by SIAI for the 1921 Schneider Trophy race. During test flights, the S.21 proved extremely difficult to control, and the only pilot who had success with it was Guido Jannello, who had already made an impression at the 1918 Schneider Trophy, in a Savoia S.13.

Savoia S.21 (Seaplane) My rendition of the Savoia S.21 Seaplane from the film Porco Rosso. I went for accuracy first whilst keeping functionality in mind. It features airbrakes binded to action groups 1 and 2, and both are used when landing. Use the first group for slowing in the approach, and the second to slow down faster once grounded.

For the flying surfaces I used Vallejos Game color No 102, Steel grey. Engine is painted in Vallejo Model air No 56, Black grey, struts are Vallejo Model air Black No 57.
